-Expected to establish a future-oriented convergence education system and expand lifelong education for the general public.-

Kwangwoon University (President Do-young Yoon) has been newly selected for two major government-led projects: the "Match業 X+AI (Biohealth field)" project and the "Korean Massive Open Online Course (K-MOOC) Phase 4 Leading University (AI/Digital field)" project, both organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE). Through these selections, Kwangwoon University aims to strengthen its AI-based online educational capabilities and establish a future-oriented, convergence education system that spans both biohealth and Physical AI.
Under the "Match業 X+AI (Biohealth field)" project—an industry-tailored, short-term job competency certification program—Kwangwoon University will develop and operate foundational and advanced curricula utilizing AI-based healthcare data. The university has already demonstrated its educational excellence in this domain by previously collaborating with the global in-vitro diagnostics company, i-SENS, Inc., to run a Match業 biohealth curriculum, for which it received the highest evaluation (Grade S).
※ The main courses will include:
- Understanding AI-Based Healthcare Data Literacy
- Practical Applications of AI-Based Healthcare Data Value Extraction
Additionally, through the "K-MOOC Phase 4 Leading University (AI/Digital field)" project, Kwangwoon University will operate a specialized curriculum from 2026 to 2028 under the core theme of "AI Robotics." The program will cover the entire spectrum of next-generation AI technologies, including Physical AI, Agent AI, and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). By providing educational content that ranges from basic technical concepts to real-world use cases and industry trends, the university plans to popularize AI and digital education for the general public.
※ The scheduled courses to be opened are:
- Physical AI Robots for Everyone: The Beginning of Perception, Understanding the World Through the Senses of AI Robots
- Physical AI Robots for Everyone: Intelligence Recognizing the World Through Sensors
- Physical AI Robots in Daily Life: Changes and Applications Around Us
- Physical AI Robots in Industry: Implementation and Core Technologies
President Do-young Yoon stated, "The selection for the Match業 X+AI and K-MOOC Phase 4 projects is a direct result of Kwangwoon University's continuous dedication to expanding educational resources and elevating educational quality in the AI and digital sectors. We will remain committed to expanding innovative educational content that effectively responds to the demands of future industries."
Hee-sang Son, Director of the Institute for Educational Innovation, added, "Based on hybrid and HyFlex (Hybrid-Flexible) learning models, we will build an AI/Digital convergence educational ecosystem that encompasses both higher education and lifelong learning for the public. We will continuously strive to leap forward as a future-oriented, innovative university leading the AI and digital era."
All courses are provided free of charge and can be accessed through the official K-MOOC website (www.kmooc.kr).
Meanwhile, to realize advanced lifelong education, Kwangwoon University has been steadily expanding programs such as K-MOOC modular courses, intensive AI/Digital (AI·D) courses for working professionals, and Match業 curricula in the robotics and biohealth fields. Through these initiatives, the university is accelerating the construction of an educational platform designed for the future society, strengthening its AI/digital-based lifelong learning system for both industry personnel and general learners.
