Kwangwoon University Hosts AI & Robotics Dream-Up Camp in Pangyo​

February 23rd, 2026. On February 21, Kwangwoon University held the 2026 AI & Robotics Dream-Up Camp at its Pangyo Campus, bringing together 25 students from Kwangwoon-affiliated elementary, middle, and high schools for a day of immersive hands-on learning in advanced technologies.

Aimed at strengthening practical skills in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and engineering, the camp leveraged Kwangwoon’s cutting-edge AI, ICT, and robotics resources to provide youth with real-world experience in emerging tech fields.

Highlights of the camp included:

• Arduino IoT Making: Students built sensor-driven devices while learning the basics of physical computing and circuitry.
• AI Autonomous Driving Training: Older students explored embedded systems, motor control, and AI logic for lane keeping and distance sensing using modern tools like Cursor AI.
• Drone AI & Computer Vision: Participants coded drones with Python and Tello SDK to track objects using machine vision techniques.

University mentors guided students through hands-on tasks, making abstract concepts tangible and sparking curiosity about engineering and technology careers.

Leaders from Kwangwoon and partner institutions highlighted the importance of early exposure to STEM fields, emphasizing that such experiences help students develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence in applying technology.
