November 28th, 2025, Kwangwoon University (President Do-Young Yoon) has achieved a remarkable milestone by ranking No. 1 nationwide in Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) in the 2025 JoongAng Daily’s University Evaluation. This result confirms that Kwangwoon produces the most frequently and widely cited research in Korea, underscoring its strong influence in both domestic and international academia.

The university also ranked 9th nationwide in the faculty research category, proving its research excellence not only in quantity but also in quality.
